This 13 foot, 4 meter AC power adapter is made for use with Mighty Bright's Duet2, Encore, Hammerhead, Orchestra, Vusion, and XtraFlex2 lights. It has an input of 100-240 Volts, 50-60 Hz, 0.1 A, 2.5 W. The output is 4 Volts of DC current, 550mA max. This multi-voltage adapter is compatible with outlets in any country with the correct wall socket adapter.

*Please also note this adapter is not for recharging. All Mighty Bright lights compatible with this adapter are NOT rechargeable lights.

Book Light AC Adapter needs a better power cord

The clip-on book light is great. But the long, long power cord for the AC adapter is constantly twisting into smaller and smaller tangled lengths (like an old-time telephone headset cord before they added coils on the cord). This tangling then constantly tugs on the top of the light, making it very difficult to keep it in position on the book You should upgrade the power cord with a more flexible, tangle-free version.

Great Product Except

I've had my Mighty Bright orchestra light with AC adapter for about 5 years and use it almost everyday for practice and once / week for rehearsal. Great product. The AC Adapter is an added plus. My reason for a 4 instead of a 5 start is the Adapter has a weak point where it connects to the light. Eventually, the wires' covering wears out, and the wires break. This could lead to a shortage as the wires could touch. There is no way to fix it except to replace the Adapter with a new one, which is what I recently did. Fortunately, the new Adapter isn't too expensive. It's probably cheaper to replace it then to use batteries in the Mighty Bright light all the time.

My 2nd AC Adaptor

I have a stand light with an AC adaptor. The light itself does an excellent job providing the needed light I need to read my music in an often dimly lit stage environment. The problem is the AC adapter. The cable between the AC plug-in and the plug-in pin to the light is super thin. Thin to the point that it will form cracks in it over time and expose the copper wiring. I have had to repair the cable numerous times when cracks have appeared. I still use the original adaptor that has been doctored and is functional, but will probably frustrate me to the point with developing cracks that I will use my equally inferior replacement. I may replace the cable with a better quality cable and use the AC plug-in and the plug-in pin from my original cable. I should not have to do this, but poor quality makes this a chore that I would rather avoid. Again, the stand light works great. The AC adaptor is of poor quality that you will eventually have problems with and have to deal with.

Fabulous!! No more batteries. Was spending a small fortune on batteries. I have 2 that I clip to board for my art work. Have given the light to 3 friends now I‚Äôm going to be ordering the adapter for them!! Can‚Äôt say enough wonderful things about Mighty Bright!!!
