The DuoFlex® Music Stand Light is a battery-powered, all-purpose light that provides 40 lumens of dimmable warm-white light on two independent goosenecks. The independent necks allow you to easily adjust the direction of light to suit your needs, and you can quickly adjust the light output to three different levels by clicking the button on each light head.

Not our first Might Bright light.

I have several of these that I have gotten over the years. The first were at the NAMM show about 6 years ago. The quality of the light is unbeatable.Beats the old Manhasset lights in size and is perfect for gigs. I like them so much I have given them as gifts and sent one back to London with our daughter.

Duo Flex Debut

First show on 4/8 with the Duo Flex. Worked well on my music stand with the ability to be inconspicuous on stage. Used USB power only. I like the ability to set multiple brightness settings, although it is not as warm and as bright as my old Manhasset.

Constant improvement

I bought my first MightyBright music stand a few years ago - the single light gooseneck model (I am a violinist, and electronics hobbiest). It worked well, but lacked wide enough illumination for an orchestral score. I then bought the two head version, enjoying the two heads with brighter, high color-temperature lights, but one side eventually failed. To fix this, I "transplanted" the LED board from the earlier model to replace the failed head - it worked, but it wasn't as bright as the other side, so I ordered the new DuoFlex model. Rather than using AAA batteries, I have powered these lights with a USB cable that I modified to use through the coaxial battery eliminator jack (5.5.VDC / USB) My initial impression of the new DuoFlex is that it is a major step forward to use a "standard" USB connection to obviate AAA battery use. I have used a rechargeable USB eliminator battery with large capacity via USB that hangs on my music stand, and it has powered any of the lights for weeks on a charge. Doing that, all I really need is a short USB cord, and while it was nice to have a 6 meter one supplied with the new light, it's much longer than needed for my application, and don't really need another one that long. My only disappointment with the new DuoFlex is that I have grown accustomed to, and now prefer the high color-temperature LEDs - the "warmer" illumination will take some time to adjust to. Scores are generally black and white, so color rendition is not an issue. I'd recommend mentioning color temperature in product descriptions. The warmer light may be better for orchestral performance use (more subtle) while a higher color temperature, if that could be made available, may be preferred in the practice room. The option would be great. Hope all of this helps - thanks for a good product and let me know if I can clarify any of the above. I'll look forward to hearing about future models.

Just got mine - an update from an older, similar style. It's really nice! It adjusts so easily, has three light settings, and enough brightness for even my poor vision. Very easy to carry with me for rehearsals. Love this model.
