TG, AND MIGHTY BRIGHT, FOR BATTERY OPERATED READING LIGHTS!
I've used Mighty Bright battery operated book lights for many yrs to read in bed or anywhere in low light. Then a few yrs ago, I decided to "do the right thing" and bought a rechargeable one from everyone's favorite multi-purpose shopping website. It wasn't a Mighty Bright and I HATE it. The charge doesn't last very long--maybe a couple hours. The cord is too short to read while plugged in (only about 1.5-2ft.) and the light isn't very bright when it's connected., It's not bright enough to read by without straining your eyes. Oh! How I miss my 'old fashioned' battery operated reading lights! They got put away someplace and now I can't find them. With the rechargeable one I bought, once the charge is wearing down, so is the light. The thing is useless. I have to stop reading. Personally, I think battery operated is much better. The batteries die, you simply replace them and continue on with whatever you were doing --reading, crafts, whatever. They may not be as environmentally friendly but they're definitely more people friendly. I'm so glad I decided to come to the Mighty Bright website today to see if they still made battery operated lights. They're closing out the last of the craft battery operated lights. so I've done this just in time. I've come up with a compromise. I'll recharge this piece of garbage rechargeable one I have, or maybe buy a Mighty Bright rechargeable to try. since I haven't looked at them yet, but ...I'll also buy some of the battery operated ones while I can get them.. I can use battery operated, while the other is recharging. There isn't anything worse than getting to a high suspense part of your story, a real page turner, and have no light to continue reading by. I've gone without meals because I can't put a book down having to find out what happens next. I'm sure many readers have experienced the same thing. TG, and Mighty Bright, for battery operated lights!
